    I got my first car when I was 18. It cost $1000 and I paid it off $100 a month for 10 months 🙂 The year was 1981 and I was so thrilled to have a car. It looked like this one except mine was white. Once I got pulled over going 80 miles an hour in it and I cried like a baby and the officer let me go. It was a tank. I was grateful for my “Fairy Godfather” as I used to call him, for buying me this car and allowing me to pay it back in monthly installments 🙂

    My first car was my mom’s Mercury Bobcat (Mercury version of the Ford Pinto). My first car that was actually mine was a Plymouth Volare. It got 8 miles to the gallon and had a 14 gallon gas tank (my range between fill ups was worse than the new electric cars). At least it only took a few minutes to fill up.
