My Typical Day as A Kid…
My brother and I used to go out and explore all day. We’d walk down the railroad tracks, put pennies on them and step back while the trains flattened them. We used to ride our bikes, find caves and expire. We’d swim in the creek look for snakes. Sometimes we’d swim in the creeks and water moccasins would swim around us but we never got bit. We would collect pop bottles and drag them in green garbage bags to the store and trade them in for 5 cents each, which we’d quickly trade for penny candy. We had a lot of fun, I am surprised we made it. We had to be home by sundown each day. This was the late 60’s early 70’s.
